[arrl-odv:16365] Pave Paws Radar Interference; Letter to Air Force Frequency Management Agency

Greetings. A few minutes ago, the attached letter was sent to the Air Force Frequency Management Agency contact we have, Fred Moorefield. I believe that this letter reflects the Board's position on the Pave Paws situation, and the instructions that I have received from President Harrison and EVP Sumner. Dan Henderson contributed to this, and we have had a conversation with Riley H. about it this morning, so there are no surprises there. I will let you know how this progresses. Be aware, however, that at the end of the day, the Pave Paws radars are National Security related, and there is little doubt that if the Air Force wants to push this matter, we will have a difficult time retaining this spectrum in the vicinity of at least the two AFBs at issue. But perhaps this will cause the Air Force representatives to calm down somewhat and work with us more cooperatively. We are also getting good cooperation from Riley Holllingsworth so far. 73, Chris W3KD ________________________________________________________________________ More new features than ever.
