[arrl-odv:31486] Digital Band-plan to FCC?

A member was asking me where we are with submitting the new digital band-plan to the FCC, (separating wide and narrow band digital) which I think was approved by the Board last July. Was this ever done? Thanks, and hope everybody here has a Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah! 73; Mike W7VO

Mike (and all), Truthfully, I had hoped to file this earlier. The draft should go to the Executive Committee mid-week. I have discussed it with the FCC staff in the broader context of the full plate of solely-amateur Part 97 matters that have been pending for years (most since before I became Washington regulatory counsel). I do expect that they will put it out for public comment shortly after it is filed. Overall, amateur matters now are pretty high on the staff list of pending issues overdue for resolution, and the staff proposal is to address this and other amateur matters during the first half of 2021. But of course the final schedules and priorities will come from the new “interim” management only after January 20. My “sales” pitch is that the Commission will start with a 2-2 partisan split and since resolution of amateur matters are long overdue, and by their nature are not “political” decisions, this is an ideal time to move them forward. 73, Dave K3ZJ From: arrl-odv <arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org> on behalf of Michael Ritz <w7vo@comcast.net> Date: Friday, December 18, 2020 at 4:14 PM To: "arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org" <arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> Subject: [arrl-odv:31486] Digital Band-plan to FCC?
