[arrl-odv:30660] Re: FW: Isaias

My apologies. I meant my report for Barry, Ken Bailey and Bud. Didn’t realize it was going on ODV. We are located 15 miles east of the eye of Isiais, which passed us as a hurricane; i.e. sustained winds >74 MPH, before being downgraded to a tropical storm. 73 es tnx, Bill N2COP Sent from my iPhone

Radiating element of my dipole ripped out of balun when tree swayed. No shelters were opened due to Covid. ThankFully no tidal storm surge into house but salt water came into yard. Those compromised were sent to hospital or hotels specially equipped. Helicopters doing damage reconnaissance. Personally Ok

Just FYI….this came to my attention last evening. We are keeping an eye on the situation and are in communication with the appropriate Sections.
HQ Emergency Response Team keeping an eye on Isaias.
On Sunday ARRL Assistant Emergency Preparedness Manager Ken Bailey K1FUG sent an email to all ARRL sections expected to be impacted by hurricane Isaias. The following sections replied; SFL, GA, NC, SC, NH, EMA, and WMA. There were no requests for equipment because HQ has prepositioned Ham-Aid kits in ARRL sections routinely subjected to tropical storms and hurricanes. Some of the responding sections provided situation reports (sitreps). All sections that replied indicated that the potential for a communication emergency exists and Emergency Operations Plans were being implemented.
At the time of this report, the following sections have not reported; VA, MD, DE, EPA, NLI, RI or ME.
Ken Bailey, K1FUG
Emergency Preparedness Assistant Manager
