[arrl-odv:26662] Re: Call for Vote - Minutes July 2017 Second Meeting of the ARRL Board of Directors - Second Call for Votes

We are missing the votes of Mr. Sarratt, Mr. Norton and Dr. Woolweaver. Thanks and 73 Dan Henderson, N1ND Assistant Secretary - American Radio Relay League, Inc. Normally, voting to approve the minutes of a Board Meeting is straightforward. This year, things are a little different. The League, or some subset of the officers and directors, spent what appears to be approximately $100,000 on an unsuccessful campaign to purge the League of Vice Directors. Using the scheme of withdrawing motions that appear to be clearly losing, there is not the slightest hint that anything related to the effort took place. With the "Code of Conduct," it appears that we can not mention anything about this effort to the membership. The minutes appear to be lawful. I am aware that the majority of the board members feel their primary responsibility is to the corporation. I still feel that the members do count. However, given that what will be shown to the members conceals the largest activity the board has engaged in, I will simply abstain with respect to approving the minutes. 73, Dick Norton, N6AA On Mon, Aug 7, 2017 at 12:20 PM, Henderson, Dan N1ND <dhenderson@arrl.org> wrote:
