[arrl-odv:15165] Organizational Changes

Hi, I would like to formally announce some changes in our organizational structure that will become effective today: * We will combine MSD and F&ES into one, slightly modified, department. It will be tentatively called The Programs and Services Department. * Dave Patton, NN1N, will become Manager of the combined department. This will allow us to take advantage of Dave's vast expertise in DXCC, Contests and LoTW. Congratulations, Dave. * Norm Fusaro, W3IZ, will become Assistant Manager of the combined Department and he continues his responsibilities for Club Programs and Services. Congratulations to Norm. * Sharon Taratula will become Administrative support for both Departments and she will also retain her responsibility for Data Entry Staff and QSL Bureau. * Kathy Allison, KA1RWY, will become full time Logbook of the World support. * Dan Henderson, N1ND, will now report directly to Dave Sumner where he will continue to work on regulatory issues. These changes will allow the combined department to focus on providing first-class service to our members and volunteers. It will also make it easier to manage programs like Field Day and Contest Clubs that span both departments. We will also address a critical organization need by hiring a full time Emergency Communications Manager. This person will be located in the new department and will report to Dave Patton. We will be posting this opening shortly. This new position will be responsible for relations with served agencies including government agencies, MOU Administration, ARRL Internal Emergency Response Planning, Simulated Emergency Tests, EmComm Training, The ARES Database and other related duties. In addition, we are creating a new Education Department. We will be hiring a new Education Manager to lead this department who will be reporting directly to me. We will be posting this position shortly. I will supply you with more information about this department at that time. We believe that these changes will make us a better prepared and more responsive organization. Please let me know if you have any questions or comments. 73, Harold Harold Kramer, WJ1B Chief Operating Officer ARRL - The National Association for Amateur Radio 225 Main Street Newington, CT 06111 860 594 0220 www.arrl.org/ hkramer@arrl.org Harold Kramer, WJ1B Chief Operating Officer ARRL - The National Association for Amateur Radio 225 Main Street Newington, CT 06111 860 594 0220 www.arrl.org/ hkramer@arrl.org
