[arrl-odv:16663] Re:Computers at Board Meeting

Joel has a valid point. Also, some of us are not retired yet and amateur radio is a hobby. The ham radio operator creed says we are balanced. This sometimes means that an email or question asked by work colleagues should be answered in a timely manner. I am not saying that one should try to work and perform BOD functions at the same time but this slight detour will keep employers happy while they allow us time off to help shape the future of amateur radio as it pertains to the ARRL. While I understand the questioning, obviously this person doesn't attend, or hasn't attended any professional organizational or society meetings but this is almost a requirement in the business world today.
In fact, at my last quarterly EPRI meeting the room was required to have internet access as a lot of work was conducted on-line in real time.
