In response to David's comment, sections 4.4 and 4.5 of the Director's Workbook deal with confidentiality of Board communications. These documents were adopted by Board vote, in January, 2008, if my records are accurate. Before that, we had no formal guidance about confidentiality -- just a sort of Board folklore -- unless a communication was explicitly tagged "Board confidential."
