[arrl-odv:31847] ARRL Zoom account?

Many of us that obtained Division Zoom accounts in Feb or March of last year now have them coming up for renewal in a couple of months. I'm still booking many Division club meetings and Board/Foundation related meetings with mine each month, so I will certainly renew when it comes up again. Since 2021 is looking a LOT like 2020, I wonder if we should have at least one ARRL sponsored Zoom account with at least 500 participants available for Directors to use to provide virtual ARRL Forums for our members this year, or maybe a Zoom webinar account that can handle a similar number? I know the ARRL received some kind of a discount on a multiple Zoom account bundle that some Divisions are now using. Is anybody looking at what we can do this year? 73; Mike W7VO

You can livestream a ZOOM meeting to Facebook or Youtube and have unlimited viewers. Mark, HDX On Wed, Jan 27, 2021 at 12:51 PM Michael Ritz <w7vo@comcast.net> wrote:

The problem with livestreaming to Facebook or YouTube is you can't solicit "questions from the audience" as easily as from within Zoom. 73; Mike W7VO

You can, in the chat. However the biggest problem is that it is delayed by about 10 seconds. You can enable low latency but that doesn't fully cut it down. The 500 user license also cleanly puts everyone in one place. Ria N2RJ On Wed, Jan 27, 2021 at 5:42 PM Michael Ritz <w7vo@comcast.net> wrote:

I asked about the discount when it was offered but didn't hear anything back. So I pay full price and get it reimbursed. Once I added the 500 user add-on. We did actually need it. YouTube is nice for overflow but you have to watch both youtube chat and zoom. Ria N2RJ On Wed, Jan 27, 2021 at 3:51 PM Michael Ritz <w7vo@comcast.net> wrote:
