Coincidentally, Ken Pulfer made the following comment to me last Friday: "I expect the BPL debate to be in full swing here in the next few months, as it looks like the first trials in Canada are about to start, and one of the major electrical utilities has apparently expressed an interest in competing with the telephone and cable companies for internet access." Ken was the IARU representative at the ITU-R Study Group 1 and WP 1A/B/C meetings about three weeks ago that dealt, among other things, with BPL/PLT.
