RE: [ARRL-ODV:7036] Re: Education Project campaign

Good morning, Dennis. Since I'm not well-known in the ham community (yet!), it's important for our members to know that the education project is supported at the highest levels of the organization. I will sign the follow up letters which will mail in April. Traditionally, solicitation letters come from the CEO. The planned giving letter is an exception since it is an area of expertise where message traditionally come from the Development Office. Question. Why arn't you signing the letter as you are the Development Director? Follow up letters to segements of our membership will mail a few weeks later. I'll be working with Jon Bloom to create a web presence for this campaign...including the new $1000 thank you gift, a desk clock displaying the Project logo in the face and an engraved plate for the donor's name and call. Mary <<Education Fund letter#1.doc>> You're invited...to inspire the next generation to enjoy Amateur Radio. The power of Amateur Radio will be expanded into the classroom to dramatically improve education in math, science, geography, social studies, economics and more. Join this landmark effort by making the most generous contribution when you receive a letter this month. Thank you. Mary M.
