[arrl-odv:15600] Re: Secret Society?

Here's an example of someone who should know better using his position to stoke the fires of an issue he knows is just not the case. The line "Let me be clear that I am not suggesting that anything improper is going on...." is a load of fertilizer, particularly since he spent the rest of the article in a not-so-subtle attempt at proving just the opposite! The problem here is that "perception is reality" can be most damaging when someone else is setting the perception. In this latest case, that perception is not being set by some semi-anonymous post to a questionable online blog, but by the editor (yep, small 'e') of a 'mainstream' publication. Let us not let others set our agenda! 73, Karl, WA5TMC -------------------------------------- "Of, By, and For..." - Not just words! Hi All,
I just read Rich Moseson's editorial about the ARRL being a secret society. His comment about "saying one thing while doing another" really chapped my jaws!
