[arrl-odv:21457] Re: LoTW is current

Thanks Dave, The improvement was noticed right away. The K3UK website is a popular hangout for LoTW users. There they contact other users for skeds to fill slots in WAS, DXCC and other awards. Comments were favorable all weekend. Sunday, I uploaded the club's RTTY Roundup log. All in all, the system queued and processed the 1490 QSO log along with the others in the queue, in about a hour. This is a VAST improvement in the week or so it was taking in December. Please pass along appropriate pats on the backs of the LoTW team. 73 es See y'all in New Orleans, Dwayne, WY7FD -----Original Message----- From: Sumner, Dave, K1ZZ Sent: 1/14/2013 7:17 AM To: arrl-odv@arrl.org Subject: [arrl-odv:21455] LoTW is current As those of you who follow www.arrl.org/logbook-queue-status know, the Logbook of The World queue went to zero on Sunday morning. Processing has been essentially current ever since. With the new SSDs installed and operating the system processed 18 days' worth of uploads in 6 days. That gives us a good margin to handle upload peaks, but that happy state of affairs won't last forever since demand is bound to grow. We will plan accordingly. 73, Dave K1ZZ

Thanks, Dwayne. There will often be a perceptible delay, particularly when the system is processing a large log or many hit at about the same time.
