[arrl-odv:21462] National Broadband Plan Status Report

The EC is charged with monitoring the status of the National Broadband Plan. The attached document is a report submitted to the EC by a task group made up of EC members and others. The EC wanted the full Board to have the benefit of the information contained in it. 73 - Kay N3KN ====================================================== Greetings. At the request of IAVP Bellows, attached please find a report prepared by Director Mileshosky, CTO Price and myself which contains information that we have been able to gather from meetings in Washington and from research we have done updating the National Broadband Plan Committee's report to the Board of a year ago. The Washington meetings that Brian, Brennan and I have had were at the direction of the EC at its September, 2012 meeting. We believe that the information we obtained in Washington and the documents referred to in the attached memo reflect a reasonable, current assessment of the impact of the NBP implementation on Amateur spectrum between 222 MHz and 5.925 GHz. This report has been reviewed by Mr. Bellows, Mr. Woolweaver, Mr. Mileshosky, Mr. Price, Mr. Blocksome, and Mr. Carlson, all of whom have kindly agreed to participate in ongoing review activities relative to the NBP for the benefit of the EC. 73, Chris W3KD Christopher D.
