RE: [arrl-odv:17681] Re: Triple Play -- Now what?

Kay and all, I fully aligned with the desire to get VUCC linked with LOTW as well as with increasing the number of LOTW-only awards. I am somewhat concerned because I heard from a couple of GLD members who believe there still is a very real, potential problem with the turnaround in DXCC paper submissions. One member in particular cited what he calculated to be an increase in turnaround time of nearly 100% from some time back until now. I have been told the issue of varying turnaround lengths should be relieved to a great extent once direct input of credits by Field Checkers becomes a reality. Provided my understanding is correct, this means work remains incomplete on a project that has been identified as valuable to making HQ operations go more smoothly. The question then becomes, how can all of the number one priorities be pursued at the same time for completion in a timely manner? A corollary might be how does staff maintain focus on the true, number one project(s)? Great to hear that VUCC is working its way to the head of the LOTW job queue. The TPA is getting super results and I'm all for its further evolution. However, I'd be sorry to see VUCC back-burnered any more. 73, Kay N3KN Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry
