It's very hard to get public service communications volunteers, when this very "public" is engaged in making it ever more difficult for hams to put up antennas of any sort - and the agencies the hams assist fail to come to our aid on this issue. As we all know, cell phones will never be a viable substitute for Amateur Radio in these types of operations - let alone a real large-scale emergency. When the time is ripe, we must all get as many of our constituents as possible to to write their congressman and two senators to tell is like it is. 9/11 makes this issue all the more pressing, but by itself it does not solve our growing antenna prohibition problem. 73 - Dick, W9GIG
