[ARRL-ODV:9939] Re: This Is A New One On Me!

It is well known among us opera afficienadoes that the famous recicitive in Rossini's "Barber of Seville" is, when translated from the Italian, a lyric cry for retention of CW at 5 WPM for extra class sopranos and tenors. 73 Sandy (the opera ain't over until the fat Vice Director sings), W4RU ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wade Walstrom" <walstrom@mchsi.com> To: "arrl-odv" <arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org> Sent: Sunday, January 11, 2004 9:56 PM Subject: [ARRL-ODV:9938] This Is A New One On Me!
I have been conducting an informal poll on the Morse code test requirement question this weekend in the Midwest Division. The response has been very good, and I thought I had heard all the arguments both pro and con until I received this one:
"The fact is, I love opera and find myself hypnotized by CW because it is arrythmic. Survey us all some time to see how the opera lovers feel about CW!"
