31 AUG 2006 - 2015 CDT Joel, thanks for calling me this afternoon. I had not yet turned on this computer today because of the various projects I have to coordinate with a contracted remodeling of both upstairs bathrooms that should have been completed about two weeks ago and still has a week plus to go. I will really miss Wade's precise and intelligent outlook on the world. His unexpected passing is a personal jolt for me. I came to know him really well in our committee work on the Ethics & Election Committee and the Executive Committee. In the last couple of years we developed a strong personal friendship. I have the ARRL to thank for my getting to know Wade and Solveig... a major perk in this job as far as I am concerned. Schedule permitting, Judy and I plan to attend his funeral/memorial service. - Dick, W9GIG
