[ARRL-ODV:7940] Re: QCWA National Convention trip report

QCWA National Convention trip reportThanks for the report, Dave. For years I anxiously awaited the time when I could join QCWA. Six years ago when I became eligible, I signed up for two years. After the first year, I was really sorry I did. As a 44 year old ham, reading the QCWA Journal was the most depressing thing I've ever seen in a ham radio magazine. Had I been 84 years old, it may have appealed to me. While I have monumental respect for all their members, most of whom elmered amateur through the years, the organization has absolutely nothing to offer a person my age that has been a radio amateur now for more than 30 years and I perceived absolutely no benefit in being a member. To quote Opra (gag..) "You need a makeover, honey!" 73 Joel W5ZN
