The staff at HQ works diligently to uphold the integrity of the DXCC program. While the majority of DXCC participants play by the rules, we must keep a watchful eye for abnormalities that could alert us to some less than honest behavior. For several weeks we have been investigating the records of OK1YQ that appears to be an alias call sign for Jarda Semotan, OK1RD. Jarda has previously been disqualified from DXCC. This is an active investigation, and we are corroborating information from other sources so it is important that this remains confidential. An appropriate response to any member who may ask about the DXCC standings online or OK1YQ in particular, should be “The DXCC desk is aware.” Any board member who has any questions about this may contact Radiosport Department Manager Norm Fusaro, W3IZ. 73, Howard, WB2ITX -- Howard E.
