The California Historical Radio Society (CHRS) has acquired the callsign, W6CF, of the late Jim Maxwell, ARRL Pacific Director, for its club station, with Trudy Maxwell's blessing. CHRS is establishing its headquarters in the Berkeley radio station facility of the old KRE at 601 Ashby Avenue, just off I-80 East. The club station trustee is: W6BM JOHN W STAPLES 732 CRAGMONT BERKELEY CA 94708. Trudy passed on Jim's technical library to CHRS and it has all been moved to KRE. It will be operated as the James Maxwell Memorial Radio Library and Archive.
