ARRL ODV: I’ve had a couple of members of the Board family forward me the email below. This is obviously a phishing attempt and we would never send out a message like this. Needless to say, you shouldn’t click on the link included in the message. Who knows what bad things would happen to your computer? Just delete it. It’s not hard to see how the info could be pulled easily from the public domain. All of your email addresses are on the ARRL web page and I’m sure many other places. And it’s a small step from there to have it associated with the organization. I wouldn’t be surprised if arrl.net addresses started getting these next. We’ve also seen attempts this morning to phish some of the staff using a different approach, sending emails that purportedly came from the CEO about a non-existent project.
