Was Rubio present? Senators Nelson and Schatz (Hawaii) asked to be recorded as voting no. I know that the hams in Florida did their dead level best to persuade Senator Nelson to back the bill, and their efforts are to be commended. I hope they will continue to press the Senator to change his mind. Same for hams in Hawaii. I know the SM out there contacted the Senator's office but don't have info on any other outreach done last week. Success in committee is great news but doesn't mean the work is finished in the Senate. Members need to keep the pressure on to build support for the future. It is deeply ironic that Senators from two states that are particularly vulnerable to natural disasters voted "no" on this bill. Fill in your own comment about what motivates these individuals. Big step taken. More to do. 73, Kay N3KN _______________________________________________ arrl-odv mailing list arrl-odv@reflector.arrl.org https://reflector.arrl.org/mailman/listinfo/arrl-odv
