They were annoyed at the QST review on Fusion and comparing it to D-STAR. They withdrew 6 figure advertising ($250,000?) for a year or two and only bought a page or two. The sales team made up for it with selling other space after hard work. I assume that was resolved. It was at least 5 years ago now. She never mentioned any specific sensitivities. The issue of sensitivity was raised by K0GW. Perhaps he’s got something in mind that I don’t know about. While it seems sensible, I know of no special sensitivities – it was his idea. I have no further updates to the list. I’ve returned to my desk too late on Friday to get through to Janet for further info. Again, I emphasize that the type of discussion I’m hoping to promote is not well handled on the show floor, but rather in a hotel room over coffee/sodas. Better to have two serious conversations than more non-serious ones. We have many opportunities to chat with amateur radio vendors. -Fred, K1VR From: arrl-odv [mailto:arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org <mailto:arrl-odv-bounces@reflector.arrl.org> ] On Behalf Of Greg Sarratt Sent: Friday, August 16, 2019 11:54 AM To: 'ODV' Subject: [arrl-odv:28584] Re: Vendor Listening Tour v3 Fred, I about to print out your list to have with me at the Huntsville Hamfest and noticed you were going to talk with Janet Rocco about sensitivities and update the list. Sometimes there are issues with a particular account, and certain questions can make the situation more serious. Rather than pressing a hot button inadvertently, it would be better to be forewarned and avoid it entirely. 73, Greg, K0GW <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=emailclient&utm_term=icon> Virus-free. <https://www.avast.com/sig-email?utm_medium=email&utm_source=link&utm_campaign=sig-email&utm_content=emailclient&utm_term=link> www.avast.com
