Fred has been in ICU for over a week and today I was told that he's being taken off life support.
Fred was not only an avid contester but also a U.S. information officer for many years. He famously suffered at the hands of Argentinian Marxist Guerillas after being accused of being a spy due to his ham radio equipment and antennas (David Sidall
talked about this a few months ago) in an attempted kidnapping. He is a good friend and supporter of ARRL.
