In Western South Carolina, we woke up Saturday to 1 inch of snow (which for here is a big deal!). The Pets had a good romp in the snow, and then came in and did not go out again until the snow melted later that afternoon. Rick Lindquist lives in ME, and he said it was not snowing there. Interesting winter storm. Glad to hear ARRL HQ is operational, and no casualties reported. There are 28 inches of snow with drifts of 4+ feet at my QTH in Vienna, Virginia. Luckily, power is still on, and so are we. Which is more than can be said for the federal government: all non-emergency, non-telecommuting federal workers have the day off. Brennan T.
