Jim:

Thanks for sharing. I've had a great number of complements and thanks about the CQP when I've been on the air. It would be interesting to see what the increase in activity in LOTW year over year is.

All:  I wanted to forward a 'good' note on ARRL Board activities.  Sometimes we see a lot of complaints and not kudos.  BTW, Delvin is new SYC for Western Washington.

I want to thank the ARRL thru you for the fun operating activity presented by the Centennial QSO party and the W1AW portable operations.  I particularly like the W1AW portable operations.  That alone got me on the air more than any other activity I recall since I was licensed.  I hear similar comments from others, too.

I suggest that the board consider doing something like this in the future.  While I know both cost time and money, a year-long operating event helps operators who are willing to try to work all the states on as many bands as their station allows.  Some portable operators are up to the challenge of huge pileups, some are not.  Most of the operators who work split probably make many more contacts than done on simplex, and some operators just cannot effectively in such conditions.  I like those operators who recognize the pile size and work by area, outside NA, and similar ways to temporarily thin the pile-ups.

Again, thank you.
