I had a discussion with Diane and the Bandplanning committee, While a reflector sounded like a good idea at first glance, Diane noted that there were implementation problems with that approach. So we decided that the article would have a link to a place where such comments and questions can be sent. The link will be active for 2 weeks or so, though we could keep it active longer if comments are still pouring in, after which the material will be bundled up and all of it made available to the committee and the Board. An email address to facilitate individual responses will be requested, but not required, of submitters,

Although I don’t expect to send all stories being published on ARRL media to the Board in advance, I do think there will be some where it’s important to do so. Attached is one on actions coming out of the recent Board meeting pertaining to band planning.
I’m sending it to you in advance of the publication date, which will be this Thursday. I suspect you will begin getting questions from members almost immediately as the window for comments is relatively short (two weeks).
In case you’re wondering, the story has been reviewed by the EC and contains significant input from Greg Widin, the former Chair of the Band Planning Committee.
