Normally an Assistant Director has a term concurrent with the Director that appointed them. However, there were many who wore their Assistant Director powder blue badge through several different generations of Directors. They didn't get the memo, I guess. I did housecleaning with my Director, and then did the same myself several years later. What I did find is that it was not worth the bad blood by removing appointments. I did, however, remove all the silent keys and sent an email to all to see if they wished to maintain their appointment. Those that responded kept their appointments. My only personal appointments were to our current webmasters and IT support. I realize lists are only available on paper from ARRL HQ-but it would be helpful to be able to generate our own lists from the ARRL.ORG website, if that is remotely possible (pun intended). Some of the designations go back to the 1970's. I have asked Mike to please give each of you the list of Assistant Directors currently designated for your division. Please annotate the list for any edits, including deletions and additions and return to Mike for processing. Thanks. David
