We received his application about a month ago.  It's in the Dropbox folder.  When it was received, Monique would have acknowledged receipt.  Individual members of the committee should not be having conversations with applicants.

I don't interpret Fred's forwarding of the email as an endorsement or a request for the committee to contact W8ZY.  The committee can consider W8ZY's email as it wishes.

I wouldn’t.

I actually am hiring several at my day job and we are prohibited from contacting candidates directly as it may be viewed as a recommendation and disqualifies me from interviewing. Good practice to redirect all to HR/recruiting. Keeps it fair.

Bud is acting as the defacto Committee Chair. Perhaps he can get back with him?

We are currently sending our top candidates to Bud to compile a final list of recommendations that can be used by the staff at HQ.
Since the position is still on the website I assume the League is still accepting applicants.

I do not have immediately available a list of EmComm Committee members. Please ignore this if you are not on that committee.

I am forwarding this on behalf of a constituent:

Subject: ARRL Position

Fred,

I hope you are staying warm. Here in western Connecticut it is about 19 degrees this morning. I wanted to touch base with you after we spoke on the phone during the Nutmeg Hamfest. I mentioned to you that I am very interested in the Emergency Management Director position that is currently still listed on the ARRL website. You told me that there was some review going on. I realize that you as a board member may not be directly involved but I am hoping that you might give me some insight into just where the league is. Of course my goal at this point is simply an interview.

Any suggestions or thoughts would be appreciated.

Thank you

Mike Walters, W8ZY
