Me too, Mike. This puts everyone equal footing and is more in line with the actual intent of emergency operating in the field. Most emergency operations would not expect to be running an amp on any source of non-commercial power. That is the feedback I have been getting. 73, Dale WA8EFK On 7/12/2022 11:23 PM, Lippert, Vernon "Bill", AC0W (Dir, DK) wrote:
Interesting, I’ve had nothing but positive comments about the 100 watt limit.
The biggest complaint I received this year was aggregating score and able bodies staying home to operate as it’s simpler to do. They like the option for those with disabilities and those unable to get out into the field but they would like to see some limit for others.

The draft version of the PSC Meeting agenda for our Thursday meeting is attached.
One question for those on ODV. This year we limited ALL FD stations to 100 W, period. The comments that I've received here in my Division have been overwhelming positive that we should make that change permanent. I noticed myself that it was easier to run with 100W with no kWs to compete with. The QRP guys seem especially happy...
That said, Bob Naumann had the following comment to me:
"Under Field Day, we have had a lot of complaints about not allowing amplifiers. We’d like to propose that Class D be the only ones restricted from using amplifiers as they are clearly not doing anything of an emergency nature. If a Class A, E, F or other true emergency style operation has the wherewithal to run an amplifier, why not let them?"
What have you guys heard from members in your Divisions regarding the 100W rule for FD from your members? Keep, or go back to kWs?
You may respond to me off-line to keep the traffic here down.
See everybody later this week!
