All, FWIW, our electrical power was restored about an hour ago after having gone "dark" at about 3:30 PM Sunday - thanks to the vestiges of Ike. Always wanting to better ourselves, we set a new high of 85 mph for fairly steady wind gusts with averages of about 60 or so over a 3-hour period. Nothing like what folk in the Houston, etc. areas experienced, but there were 6 million meters in the Duke Energy area around Greater Cincinnati without power. I'm unsure of the total situation around Dayton, but large areas of it (at least from the downtown south) were out as well (Dayton Power & Light Co.). The outage generally was from Dayton south through Cincinnati to about 25 mi. south of the Ohio River. We are among the lucky ones by having our power restored fairly early. Talk about backlogged e-mail! I hope everyone came through Ike OK. 73, Jim Jim Weaver, K8JE, Director ARRL Great Lakes Division 5065 Bethany Rd.
