Greetings. Just today, the FCC's disappointing NPRM in Docket 05-235, proposing to eliminate Morse telegraphy as an examination element for any class of Amateur license, has been published in the Federal Register. The comment dates are as follows: Comments: October 31, 2005 Reply Comments: November 14, 2005. Vice President Harrison will have some recommendations for the Executive Committee to consider for comments, and the meetings that the staff are having on the subject is of great importance in providing information for the filing. The Executive Committee is considering when to meet, and should take these filing dates into consideration in deciding on a meeting date. 73, Chris W3KD
