I will add that the CAC is almost completely devoid of VHF contest expertise. I have had complaints from members about that. Maybe someone who is VHF savvy, and not just 6m. When my CAC rep decides that he's not going to serve anymore, I will probably look for one of those.

If the contesting community were bereft of others with good ideas, perhaps choosing Randy would be the best idea. But there are a gazillion active, committed contesters in each of our Divisions, so spreading the “wealth” would be my preference.
How about going to YCCC (and any other contest clubs in New England) and asking them to submit 3-5 names for consideration? That might take longer, but some other good candidates might pop up.
