The drafts
came out of John Chwat's shop. I'd say that the most appropriate insert into the
blank would be "constituent" or "resident and voter" -- or some variation on
that theme.
Of course,
this is only appropriate if you really ARE a constituent.
As Kay has
noted, the word "the" is missing from paragraph 3, first line, just before
"amateur radio service."
Of course,
personalizing the letter is good, particularly if you have an established
relationship.

Just one
question about the draft letters. In the text the second sentence says "As a
___ in your district ...." What information should we put in the blank?
Would it be better to say "Vice President of the ARRL, Inc.," or "licensed
Amateur Radio operator," or "voter"? Any recommendations about what's more
effective in catching the attention of the recipient?
