Also, you might consider the Antique Wireless Association (AWA) depending on how old the gear is.  They have a large new museum but may already have samples of the radios available. It is not only ancient gear.  I have sent some old circa 1950 CW learning equipment they wanted in the past and have provided some Pro Bono legal work for them.  Great museum if you have not been there yet, in New York.

Is Hq. still accepting donations of old equipment from members?  

 

I thought that I'd heard somewhere this was discouraged because of the time and effort involved in liquidating all the boat anchors.  But a member in our division inquired about leaving his old gear to the ARRL and he cited <http://www.arrl.org/news/donations-of-unwanted-amateur-radio-test-gear-support-arrl-s-mission>.
