She worked at the Commission before moving to Capitol Hill, and has been on the Commission since 2012 so she has seen a voted a number of amateur radio-related items and undoubtedly knows the amateur service to some extent.
Executive Committee members in Washington in November, 2019, met with her wireless aide and were well-received, but his familiarity with amateur radio was not clear. In any event, as Acting Chairwoman, she will now work more directly with
the Wireless Bureau.
Overall, she has been focused on getting more spectrum for 5G and related broadband purposes, and if anything, is likely to accelerate that push at all costs.

Any insight as to how she views amateur radio?
Ajit Pai, at least based on his tweets and public statements seems to at least have an idea as to what amateur radio is, even though he’s not licensed himself (in his parting tweet I replied that he would have time to get his license now).
But it’s not surprising since Pai has a few notable friends in the amateur radio community.

As expected, President Biden has designated Commissioner Rosenworcel to be Acting Chairwoman of the FCC. Whether she, or a new nominee, will be designated permanent Chair will determined later.
