To all, A member in my Division sent me both an audio file and PDF of a corresponding article in QST regarding HamQuest '67. This preceded my entry into amateur radio by two years, and one year prior to me joining the ARRL. Sometimes the past can give us good ideas for the future. Please read Steve's discussion below. Since the audio file is 10 MB, I put both files in my dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/r922522c3t4w1zx/AAAQswjWOYQd4lXeYIptn0h_a?dl=0 Enjoy! ’73 de JIM N2ZZ Director – Roanoke Division Representing ARRL members in the Virginia, West Virginia, South Carolina and North Carolina sections ARRL – The National Association for Amateur Radio™ ---------------------------------------- Hi Jim, Just remembered I was also sending you the kickoff audio from the 1967 ARRL Membership/Affiliated Clubs effort. Originally on a very floppy 45rpm record, HamQuest ’67 was launched in late 1966 in an attempt to increase membership in both the League and affiliated local clubs. There was a fear of losing so many members the league could continue as it was constituted. Ham radio licenses were also down. As we know now, the numbers went up. There will always be problems both real and imagined! Maybe the new CEO would enjoy this. 73, Steve
