Take a look at vop.ms. You can port the number(s) there at no cost. The monthly charge is <$2/number. Usage is 1 or 2 tenths of a cent per minute. It includes auto attendants and voice mailboxes. You can forward calls anywhere, including having an auto attendant direct the call based upon caller selecting a number. You get an email with the Voicemail.

I use it for my home and two businesses for a total of a half dozen+ lines.

A voip phone is <$100. I've also got WiFi handheld phones that were <$200.
