Being an AAdvantage member, I receive weekly email "netsaaver" fare
notices and various larger fare sale notices.  I'm sure the other
airlines also do similar promotions.  However, the Chicago Fall Sale
notice I received a few minutes ago is the best deal I have seen on
American Airlines in quite some time.  The posted fares are a bit
lower than what I can normally obtain with my retired employee 20
percent discount.

I'm sure there are similar fare sales posted for all of American's
major domestic locations.  There are the usual holiday black-out
periods and the tickets must be purchased by 22 OCT.  Many of us can
save the ARRL quite a few dollars on travel to the January board meeting
and you should be able to lock-in your desired seat, rather than being
stuck in a middle coach seat.  Check this out at www.aa.com .
