No, he got the letters from Homeland Security, FBI, whoever about the “Ham Radios” (not) the rioters all have which they mainly get cheap from Amazon et al.  I like Amazon, but they are not doing this out of the goodness of their heart.  The non-type accepted $20 UV-5Rs and the like are now more prevalent than legit radios. That unusual FCC warning we discussed is the tip of that iceberg.
