Ladies and gentlemen,

In the coming few days, I will mail copies of the new DVD video, Advocating for Amateur Radio, An Introduction to the ARRL Legislative Action Program to Directors and Officers.  Each Director will receive three copies and each officer will receive one copy, each.  The video was developed by the LA Committee for use as an introductory and training tool in the Program.  Please keep or distribute the copies of the disk as you choose for the good of the Program.  You may also copy the video on other disks for further distribution if you wish.  We also expect to have the video available through the Grassroots area of Members Only on www.arrl.com.

The Committee thought that Directors may generally wish to keep a copy for their use in promoting the program, and distribute the remaining two copies to their DLAC, etc. to use in promoting the Program and moreover to show volunteers in the Program how a typical lobbying visit can be expected to go.

The general portion of the script was developed by the Committee and the more technical aspects by John Chwat.  Harold Kramer supervised the company that produced the video.  I’ll provide further information when the disks are mailed.

Just another service of your friendly Legislative Action Committee at work.  ;-)

73,

 Jim
