Operation in state parks has become popular, especially with the POTA/SOTA chasers and activators. Some states have started restricting ham radio activity in parks. NJ is known for giving some a hard time, even those who drive in with vehicle mounted antennas, for example contest rovers. K2EZ, for example, has had issues in High Point State Park in NJ. The park rangers stated that they had concerns over safety. This despite the fact that the antennas regularly see highway speeds and have not had any issues.
