Ladies and Gentlemen, So, I hear there is a controversy about the ARRL band plan and digital modes. Boy, "THEY" are doing "IT" to us again? Let's see, there was incentive licensing, no code, and now "THIS." I whip to the ARRL web site to see what is up. Alas, I don't see anything on the home page...no article, no FAQ, no nothing. Egad, "THEY" must be trying to hide something. Maybe the ARRL vile on the QRZ.com is not altogether false. But, I am an ARRL supporter. And, being a resourceful guy, I finally locate the search area and type in some words. With the term, bandwidth, I finally get a page showing the results of the search and come up with the FAQ link. I wonder if the ordinary ham will go this far or am I missing a critical element on our home page? - (Editorial Remark) BTW, I remember seeing something in QST a year or so ago, but I just glanced through the magazine and threw it on the heap of other magazines to really read someday. Where was that antenna article I remember from 73 Magazine? Oh yes, there it is on top of the QSTs and CQs. I really should sort the dang magazines so I can find something when I need it. What about the nets that I like...county hunters on 40 cw, FISTS on 40 and others. Looks like the 3 KHz proposal might cause a lot of QRM. Why oh why are THEY doing this to us? We have been here for a long time...before these digital modes! Fellow Board Members...these are the things I hear when I visit clubs and hamfests. Although there aren't many comments, we need all the friends we can get (or keep) right now. 73 Jim K9JF VD - Northwestern Division
