A loose end from the July Programs & Services Committee meeting has been tied up by email vote of the committee. The committee has endorsed the recommendation of the Public Relations Committee to award the 2014 Philip J. McGan Silver Antenna Award to Brian Short, KC0BS, for excellence in telling the Amateur Radio story to the public at large. See July 2014 Board Meeting Document #21.
The Executive Committee has authorized a mail vote in accordance with Article 6. It is now in order for the Board to vote on this recommendation. However, so as to not foreclose the possibility of discussion, please withhold your vote until tomorrow (Thursday) in case there are questions.
Here is the resolution for Board consideration: “Resolved, that the 2014 Philip J. McGan Silver Antenna Award is hereby awarded to Brian Short, KC0BS, for excellence in telling the Amateur Radio story to the public at large.”
