Good points, Rod. The ODV reflector has been too quiet the past 2-3 years, and I’ve mentioned it several times and talked to some directors and vice directors about it over time who, for their own reasons, are reluctant to post. The most common reason I’ve heard is due to the “toxic” environment within the Board family. I really hope we can move on from that now. The most recent example that stuck me about how reluctant folks are to post was after Director Norton sent out his comments about Winlink, etc., in ODV 28224 on June 14. I figured that should have lit the reflector up for some good discussion, but it didn’t. One more comment about the use of third parties for sub-reflectors, or alternate reflectors, whatever they are called. We have a long standing honor in the Board family that ODV messages stay in the Board family so Board members are free to communicate without someone copying/reposting an ODV message to someone outside ODV. To the extent that Board members may be using another reflector set up through a third part, especially if the third party is Ham, I would hope that confidentiality of Board email is being honored. 73 Rick - K5UR Sent from my iPhone

This is the first I have heard of an ODjr reflector of which there may be only a subset of directors and vice-directors invited. If it was created in response to a "problem with gmail on ODV", I am at a further loss as I've been using gmail on ODV for the last 9 years without any issues.

It now appears there is a separate reflector (ODjr@lists.kkn.net) being used by a subset of the Directors in place of the OD reflector. Use of such a private listserv for what appears to be a self-selected group of Directors would be wholly inconsistent with the call for more transparency and the concept of the board acting for the benefit of all ARRL members after full and fair discussion.
We are less than a month from the July Board Meeting. In the five plus months since the new board staked out a new direction for governance, legislative actions and transparency there has been precious little information provided through OD and ODV as to how these initiatives are progressing. Though full reports will be provided in Board reports, but some interim updates would be beneficial and would allow for a better informed an prepared Board.
In the spirit of transparency and to permit all Directors the opportunity to fully engage their members in the short time before the July Board Meeting, the Directors (and any others) who are on ODjr@list.kkn.net should provide all Officers and Directors, as well as Vice Directors if appropriate, with all of the postings to ODjr@lists.kkn.net.
In the further spirit the of transparency and to better provide a feeling of trust, understanding and cooperation among the ARRL Board, the members of ODjr@lists.kkn.net should identify themselves and articulate the reason for using an “offlne” reflector rather than the OD or ODV reflector that ARRL boards have used for decades to share information and discuss issues.

Maybe you need to jog your memory a little. ODjr was around a long time and according to ODV email archives it was offered to the board to get around gmail incompatibility. It stuck around I guess.
Either way, having private conversations with other directors is really not unusual. Some things are best discussed with a small group and then put to a wider audience. Formally we do this with committees. Informally we talk amongst ourselves.
If you oppose other directors talking amongst themselves privately I don’t know what to tell you.
If you really are concerned about transparency, why not start with the E&E and righting some of the wrongs. What about when it was said that if one director lost his seat that an individual contracted by the ARRL said he would make the board’s life a living hell. What about a (past) director taking campaign donations from an ARRL lobbyist? I have more but you get the point.
We have bigger fish to fry right now. Let’s not get caught up in this nonsense.
PS - ODjr largely remains quiet and I do not discuss much of anything there. And often I put out a post on ODV only to get silence.
