I've now been asked twice, so I guess it's worth clarifying that I would like the club information from directors, vice directors and officers to come to me.

Thanks!

At last weekend's Executive Committee meeting there was a discussion of the important role played by local clubs in recruiting, training and mentoring new licensees. Some clubs are very successful; part of our effort to increase the number of new amateurs should be to recognize the clubs that are doing a good job, and to educate and encourage other clubs to follow their example.

As a first step, it would be very helpful if directors, vice directors and officers would identify clubs you know of that are doing outstanding work in recruiting, training and mentoring new licensees. I am going to ask the Membership & Volunteer Programs Department to ask Section Managers and Affiliated Club Coordinators to do the same. Once we have a raw list of nominees I will ask the staff to contact the clubs to find out more about what they are doing, so their stories can be shared.

Thanks for your assistance.
