11 OCT, 2004 - 1340 CDT In my haste to send my first message on this subject, I overlooked the technical/political argument for making a super big stink. We have all seen and heard to the point of nausea, George Bush's arguments that he is THE leader to defend us against terrorism. A widely deployed BPL system, of the type about to be approved by the FCC, will cripple if not destroy most of our Homeland Security communications systems. So why in the hell ifs the FCC being allowed to do this? If this point could be driven home to the electorate, the FCC could be forced to pull in its horns on this issue. - Dick, W9GIG
