Hi Rod,
“A Director, believing that rescinding the Code of Conduct at the January board meeting lifted the prohibition of directors filing such comments, filed formal comments to FCC Proceeding CG RM-11828 - ARRL’s Entry Level Licensing proposal. Later he realized it was a violation of board policy 2.2 and promptly notified E&E.”
Just so we are clear, was this the reason (code of conduct) stated to the E&E by the director who made the comment?
I ask because from what I understand that the policy 2.2 for board members not to comment on FCC proposals pre-dates the code of conduct. Therefore this wouldn’t even apply.
