18 FEB, 2004 - 1550 CST Hello Mary... I'm very happy to learn that Joe Walsh and Bob Heil will be operating WIAW on March 6 during the ARRL DX Phone Contest. The only downer is they will be wanting to work DX if they are truly in the contest and more than a few continental U.S. and Canadian hams will want to work them. These domestic contacts will not count for a contest score and they could cause a QRM problem. If they are serious about the contest or working DX, they may not want their presence advertised in advance. On the other hand, if they are not operating in the contest, they will probably care less who contacts them. 73 - Dick, W9GIG
