Hi Wade, I don't know much about the intellectual capacity of the FCC, but it is pretty clear here that the real culprit resides in a White House and has the support of a strong lobbying effort with deeper pockets than will ever dream of having. Honestly or not, the White House believes that BPL has the potential to create meaningful jobs which our land sorely needs and if this Administration feels like it they will break thru (saying the hell with) part 15 regulations. So our getting unsettled by the FCC gets us nowhere---we should continue to deal with this problem in the same professional manner that we have been, which is more than can be said for some electric industry groups. The FCC is doing what it is told to do and I am sure many of them don't like it. So pouring oil on their wounds won't help. The real problem lies in the White House and that is where many many situations like BPL (even the very Republican Wall Street is getting weary of the administrations antics) have been originating for the past couple of years. So lets deal with the BPL as we are capable of doing, very professionally and use our individual vote to get an alternative in the WH, knocking the current group off the track and out of office. I know I sound like I am on a soap box but that's my somewhat political view of the entire BPL issue. It gets real discouraging when an agency such as the FCC is so hell-bent on implementing a new "service" that it ignores part of its own regulations to justify its existance.
Another equally troubling scenario is that the clowns at the FCC are so incompetent that they do not even understand their own rules and regulations!
This is bad news!
